Ingredients:
- 1 lb sirloin steak
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 4 slices of crusty bread
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup arugula
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
Instructions:
Season the sirloin steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or to your desired level of doneness
Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly
Spread butter on one side of each bread slice and grill them until toasted
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to create a spread for the sandwich
To assemble the sandwich, spread the mayo-mustard mixture on the toasted bread slices
Layer the sliced steak, Swiss cheese, arugula, and red onion on the bread slices
Top with another slice of toasted bread
Cut the sandwich in half, and it's ready to serve
